The Hamster Wheel does not collect personal data by default. We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand which parts of the game players reach. These statistics never include your identity, are stored on our own servers in the EU, and are never sold or shared. If you choose to use optional online play, a minimal account is stored on the same server — see "Online Play" below for exactly what that includes.
Playing offline (solo, hot seat, or the daily challenge) collects no personal information. Specifically:
The game saves your progress (game state, settings, and achievements) locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Online play — matches against another player over the internet, friend lists, and leaderboards — is entirely optional. The offline game never requires an account.
If you choose to use online play, a minimal account is stored on our own server (the same Fly.io server in Stockholm, EU, mentioned above). That account stores:
This data is used only to run online matches, friends, and leaderboards. It is not shared with third parties or used for advertising.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed.
The Hamster Wheel does not knowingly collect any information from children. The game is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content.
The game uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and verify entitlements. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts from Apple and Google but does not collect advertising identifiers, location data, or personal information. No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated.
